Welcome to the FTF Values Use Guide! This page explains everything you need to know to read our value listings effectively. Understanding stability tags, status indicators, and demand ratings will help you make smarter trades and avoid getting scammed in Flee the Facility.

Understanding Value Changes

When we update our value lists, we use visual indicators to show how an item's value has changed since the previous update:

Green Arrow

Indicates the item's value has increased

Red Arrow

Indicates the item's value has decreased

Corrected Value (*)

The asterisk symbol (*) means the value has been corrected — neither increased nor decreased. This is used for new items or when an item's value was inaccurate and has been adjusted to reflect the current market.

Stability Tags — Market Direction Indicators

Stability Tags give you insight into the likely future direction of an item's value. These are based on community trading patterns and expert analysis — they reflect the consensus of experienced traders, but remember that no prediction is 100% certain.

Think of stability tags as a forecast: they help you decide whether to trade an item now or hold onto it for potential future gains.

🚀 Rising

Items with this stability tag are rapidly gaining value. Strong upward momentum — consider holding if you own one, or acquiring before values climb further.

📈 Doing Well

Items with this stability are slowly but steadily gaining value. A positive trend that suggests continued growth.

🌱 Improving

The item is showing strong trading activity and receiving good trade offers. This positive momentum may lead to a value increase in the near future.

⚖️ Stable

The item's value is not currently moving in either direction. Stable items are generally safe to trade at their listed value.

🌊 Fluctuating

The item has a confusing or unpredictable value range. Its movement varies due to inconsistent overpays, underpays, and base value trades. Trade with caution.

📉 Struggling

The item is struggling to receive trades due to decreasing demand. This may lead to a potential drop in value — consider trading it sooner rather than later.

🔻 Receding

Items with this stability are slowly losing value. A gradual downward trend — monitor closely and consider your exit strategy.

💥 Dropping

Items with this stability are rapidly losing value. Strong downward momentum — these items should generally be traded away quickly before further losses.

Status Tags — Item Trading Status

Status Tags provide additional context beyond the stability tag. They reflect how an item is actually performing in trades, taking into account its current value, the quality of offers it typically receives, and overall market demand.

💰 Overpaid For

This status means the item is stable and can typically fetch its listed value in trades — but it may actually receive slightly more than its base value due to high desirability. A great item to hold.

💸 Underpaid For

This status means the item is stable and valued correctly, but traders may offer slightly less than the base value. You can still trade it successfully, but don't expect to exceed the listed value.

💎 Niche

This status is used for items that are difficult to obtain, as very few players actively trade them. These items usually get their face value, but may also receive overpays due to their rarity and scarcity. Niche items reward patient traders.

Demand Ratings — How Sought-After Is This Item?

Demand Tags indicate how actively an item or set is being sought after in the trading community. Higher demand items trade faster and typically command better offers. Demand is rated on a scale from 0 to 5 stars.

Pro Trading Tips

💡 Combine Stability + Demand for Best Results

The most valuable information comes from combining stability tags with demand ratings. An item that is "Rising" with 4+ star demand is a prime holding opportunity. An item that is "Dropping" with 0-1 star demand should be traded away immediately.

⚠️ Values Are Guidelines, Not Absolute Rules

Our values reflect community consensus, but every trade is unique. Factors like the specific items being offered, the urgency of the trader, and current game events can all affect the actual trade value. Use our values as your starting point, then negotiate from there.
